In the UK the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) state that around 5 million people in the UK feel “very” or “extremely” stressed with around half a million people a year suffering from work related stress.  The cost can be staggering, in 1995 it was calculated that  around 6.5 million working days in the UK were lost due to stress related conditions with a cost to society of around 3.8 billion pounds. Some stress can be good and spur us on to perform and meet deadlines and it can vary enormously from day to day. Left unchecked though, or not recognized, and allowed to accumulate due to insufficient coping mechanism, stress can manifest itself physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Our 1 Day stress management Workshops have been designed to provide an overview for Organizations wishing to initiate their on Stress Management Programs and reduce the impact of Stress on their wokforce.

Workshop Facilitation

IAF Company Logo

The words facilitation and facilitate are widely used in today’s business environment, with many employees being asked to “facilitate” or resolve a problem. It therefore might be said that many of us are “facilitators”. Facilitation is however a profession in its own right and Stress Management Zone has undergone the rigorous requirements in order to achieve Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) status. The IAF (International Association of Facilitators) defines the behaviour, professional requirements and stipulates ongoing development for its CPFs by way of its core competencies. The Facilitator designs, in conjunction with the Client, a workshop or meeting which will achieve a pre-agreed outcome or deliverable. Workshop ground rules are discussed and agreed. The ground rules are key to achieving the objective of the workshop and must reflect the need to create a safe, yet creative, environment. The Facilitator will guide the group through the process, using the ground rules, and actively encourage participation and involvement from all within the group. Facilitators intuitively understand about group dynamics and foster participation to ensure that the group has a sense of collective achievement, enjoyed the session and that their opinions are valued and above all they are respected.

We are trained in MBTI, 16PF, Belbin Balanced Team Roles, DeBono 6 Thinking Hats, Pinpoint facilitation and use graphic facilitation (to encourage right side brain creativity and stimulation) as well as many other facilitator techniques. We have vast experience in project and change management, within major customer service organisations and can therefore expand our role of independent Facilitator to Consultative Facilitator. If you are considering a customer improvement initiative or a planning session for your organisation and want facilitator support, that will add value to your business, then please contact us for Facilitation support.

Change Management consultancy
Have you ever wondered why so many Improvement / Change Management Programs fail? Far too often organizations looks to duplicate the successes that have been achieved in other organizations and rush to emulate the strategy or technique applied. Your organization is unique!, its vision, stakeholders, values, people, culture, services or products together with its customers are all unique to you and you alone.

No other Organization’s “success” solution can be applied exactly to your organization and the same results achieved.  At Stress Management Zone we are experts in change and project management initiatives and  we take time to understand your Organization, its culture and how we can support you in achieving your improvement goals.
